OUGD403 - Message and Delivery: Distrubution
Here are my final mailshot pieces from this project, including concertina leaflet and mailing list.
I originally printed out the leaflet and envelope on matte paper, but the double sided did not match up correctly, so when I reprinted it I decided to try a different stock to see what difference it would make. I used antique white stock, and I think it enhanced my design considerably. Even though the matte paper created a clean, crisp finish, because of the thickness of the leaflet, it was hard to fit in the envelope easily. However, the antique white was thin enough so that it folded well, but thick enough that it was sturdy. Comparing the two stocks, I think that the antique white changed the tone of the leaflet, making it less corporate, which I think makes it more inviting to open, because not many people want to open a serious looking letter.

OUGD403 - Illustrator Typeface
This was an ongoing project where we had to create a typeface from one of the 10 letterforms we had to produce for the Alphabet Soup: Visual Thinking task, where my final pieces can be seen here. I decided to create a typeface based on the letter Y which I created, and here is the final design that I did on Illustrator:

OUGD403 - Message and Delivery - Final Posters
These are the three final posters for the Message and Delivery brief. They had to be high impact posters communicating a message based on a newspaper article I chose. There were certain constraints such as one had to be all type, one had to be all image, and one had to use both. They also could only use a maximum of two colours plus stock. All of my research for the project can be found here, and all of the developmental process behind the posters can be found here.
Once the posters had been printed, an anonymous critique took place, and here is my feedback:

We should be exploring these things to see what we are interested in and the kind of designer that we want to become. Pinterest is a useful way to document the visual things that we like and organise them into sections, click here to see mine.
