OUGD502- A Design Presence: Logo

I already had a logo due to making business cards early on in the year, and I decided to stick with it, but alter it slightly for improvements.

Here is my development from the first logo:









Here is my development for improving the logo:

I really didn't like the S, so I started by improving that. This shows the three stages, the original S, the middle one where I thought it looked okay, and the third one where it worked better with the rest of the letters. I am happier with the 3rd one, and I wanted it to have horizontal ends to fit in with the rest of the logo.



I really wanted to work on the Harrison. It didn't look right. I decided to make the 'R's full again so it looked more like a normal typeface.


I also tried making the logo small caps, but I preferred them all one size.


I also made it central, and both the words the same size. Previously it was justified, so the Danielle was bigger.


I still feel like I need to kern it properly, but I don't know how to do that.
